Vie Management is a vertically integrated real estate investment and management firm specializing in the ownership and operation of student housing and multifamily communities across premier U.S. markets. With nearly two decades of industry expertise, we have developed, owned, and managed over 40,000 beds nationwide—building a track record of performance, innovation, and value creation.

OUR ROOTS
Vie Management was founded in 2012 by Derrick Milam and Ari Rosenblum, two seasoned real estate professionals with complementary backgrounds and a shared vision for transforming the housing experience. Ari brought over a decade of success as an owner-operator in the student housing sector, while Derrick leveraged his expertise in value-add multifamily investments. Together, they launched a new kind of real estate platform—one that blends institutional performance with lifestyle-centric design and guest-focused hospitality.
Recognizing that traditional housing models were falling behind the expectations of Generation Z and the generations to follow, Derrick and Ari set out to redefine the standard. By applying a strategic value-add investment model, they elevated conventional communities into thriving micro-communities tailored to the evolving preferences of modern renters.
Inspired by the phrase C’est la Vie, the Vie brand was born—rooted in wellness, design, and experiential living. Guided by their personal commitment to health, connection, and purpose, the founders developed a holistic residential platform that empowers guests to live fully, grow personally, and feel at home in environments designed for the way they live today.
